Japanese Steel!

I paid $55 for my pale gold Karakusa, a bit more for the black - the stainless steel ballpoint was a freebie.

 

I know they eBay for a lot more... the stainless model was Y6000 when new, the gold and black versions were Y4000.

I paid $75 for my steel one a bit over a year ago. They seem to pop up on eBay every few months but I really have not followed the prices.

 

Platinum Place still has them listed for sale here at $100 for the steel (#38) and $130 for the black (#31). I am not sure if this site is really active or up-to-date but it can't hurt to check.

And if they pass through the hands of Tokyo_Russ, they'll tend to go at top dollar. I once saw one sell for nearly $200!
