All paid orders have shipped! There are a few new orders invoiced today, and there is a small, small chance that those will ship before I leave if they are paid for in the next day or so.

 

I will be leaving for Japan/Thailand this Saturday and the rest of this week leading up to then is crazy busy for me. I'll be back for one week in December, and then I'm off to Florida until December 31st. Any orders received between now and then will not be acknowledged until I return.

 

Also, if there are any problems with orders that have shipped, please be assured that it WILL be resolved, but not until early January. Please, please be patient and don't flame me for not responding!

Oh, what about the blue you ask? I have received two new samples from Noodler's. Personally I think both are spectacular. When I return I will play with them a bit more using different nibs and papers and then review them. A vote will be taken between these two new inks and the blue #2 that won the poll. The blue will be named van Gogh Starry Starry Blue. Any of these three inks fit the name well.

Have a good and enjoyable Japan/Thailand vacation Elaine. Perhaps if you'ver time stop into Nakaya and see the works, i believe they've moved to bigger premises. Prices probably gone up accordingly ;-( Penstop or is it Penshop also a good place to visit.

 

Maybe you'll find that elusive stash of nos Murex's (or is Muri more appropriate) I need a medium nib mYu. Generally they're fine.

 

But more to life than pens and stuff, here's wishing you a great trip and I look forward to filling my iride with Tulipe Noire iso the mixture I concocted. Thanks for organising the ink and all else.

I sent my check in for the ink a while ago, but I have not gotten an email that the ink was shipped. My invoice number was not one of the unpaid ones that were listed previously. Does NOT getting a shipment email mean I have "fallen through the cracks", or is the lack of a shipment email nothing to worry about?

 

Thanks for handling all these many ink orders to nearly everywhere! It has to have been quite a time consuming job. Have a wonderful trip!!

Yes, we're going to have another vote just as you described. It won't be until January though.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
