Couldn't find a review of KWZI Pine Green. Could we locate or have one done?

I don' t have a review request, but another kind of request. But, first can I say thank you to whoever, moderates, organises and sorts out all the information here. The ink forum and especially the reviews are my favourite place on the net. Barely a day goes by...

My request is: is it possible to cull some of the older reviews where the links to the photos no longer work?

If you find one of mine, you can send me a link and I'll try and get them back up. As for the past photos, it takes hours of work to curate and we have been trying, but it's not as easy as you might think.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

I'm sure it's not easy. It's a very slight annoyance in what is a fantastic resource - like I say, I use it daily. So, thank you and if I do find photos not working in one of yours I will indeed let you know.

Beaufort Inks (in Scotland) have recently released a line of six new inks. Anyone care to review? Thanks!

I dont do reviews on here but I have 4 of the inks (Blue-Black, Roasted Red, Peacock and Zodiac Blue) and here are some initial impressions.

They all seem very pleasant inks . Medium saturation, reasonably lubricating, quick drying & well-behaved - at least, as experienced so far.

I especially like Peacock, which is similar to Organic Studios Walden Pond Blue, but without the ridiculous and unusable sheen level of that ink, and is several shades darker than Oster Deep Sea.

Roasted Red is a dusty brown-red, similar to Oster Astorquiza Rot or Fritz Schimpf FritzRot. Zodiac Blue is a little like the new Pure Pens Saltire or BungBox Sapphire.

I havent used Blue-Black yet but tonally the swatch looks similar to Pen and Message Saku, Cult Pens Deep Dark Blue or Oster Midnight Sapphire. It is more dark blue than black.

Of new/recent U.K. ink releases I think I prefer the Pure Pens line.

I would like to see Monteverde Scotch Brown and Brown Sugar. I'm looking for a new brown and these might be in the running.

Sailor Souboku, please.

Some reviews are around outside of FPN, and some are selling it, but a review with pictures and maybe even a comparison to Sei-Boku would be greatly appreciated.

I would love to see reviews of some of the Sailor inks represented on that prodigious Sailor inks thread--reviews that cover how the inks look and behave under normal writing conditions.

Is one of the inks above Souboku?

OOPS, I misunderstood, I was thinking the blue black Sei Boku.

:)

I meant the new Souboku.

Anyway, thank you. This nicely exemplified Sei-Boku.

If anyone had a bottle of

Montblanc Writers' Edition Homage to Homer

and would review it, I'd be happy.

I searched this forum and didn't find a review of Montblanc Emerald green. If anyone has this ink and other medium bright greens for comparison, I'd appreciate a review. Thanks.

It's brand new but someone has posted this thread about it.

Thank you! I should have searched the entire forum. That was great reading. I assume "Ink of the Year" implies a limited run. I have a bottle and love the color, but don't want to spend the money for a backup bottle if there is a better Emerald. I'm thinking better stock up while it's available.

No ink review yet of Montblanc Homer Greek Blue.

There is this thread with a pair of handwriting samples.

https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/topic/338429-question-about-homer-greek-blue-ink/

I've been writing with it every day for more than one month.

It's an excellent, well-behaved ink in a fairly broad nib.

I’d like to see a review of Noodler's Dromgoole's of Houston Chisholm Trail. What shade of brown is it? Searched and couldn’t find any images. TIA

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
