Namiki Pilot Sepia in cartridges. Yes, someone else asked about it a couple of months back and yes, it is available as a regular fountain pen ink cartridge. I'd love to see a comparison with the brown standbys. I will probably go ahead and buy some anyhow; I'd just like to see it run through its paces.

Hi,

I would appreciate seeing a comparison of current production Herbin Poussière de Lune to that ink of earlier production - purchased prior to mid-2011. (Hard to determine production date.)

This request is made in response to these Posts:

I am concerned that PdL suffers from possible changes in formulation and/or manufacturing process.

Hi! There's a german brand I found today. Rheita. They sell 300ml bottles of blue Ink (Königslblau) It's not very expensive so I would love to see it reviewed here. This ink is mostly sold in the "Müller Drogerie" stores in Germany.

Cheers

Brand of ink I'd never seen before, but it's the only bottled ink available in the local Big Box:

Daler-Rowney simply Black India Ink.

The label has pictograms indicating its use in fountain pens, refillable rollerballs, airbrush and paintbrush applications, but I am dubious enough to seek out reviews, and behold, the search function finds none.

Someone with more experience and less temperamental pens than myself were best to test it thoroughly.

I'd love to see a comparison of all of Noodler's 1 oz inks with a flex pen, or at least Luxury Blue and Periwinkle.

I'd like to see Pilot Iroshizuku Shin-ryoku reviewd against Private Reserve Blue Suede. A comparison of color and characteristics.

I would love to see a review of J. Herbin invisible ink. I know it's for dip pens, not fountain pens, but would love to read a review.

Thanks for the verse at the bottom of your post!

I would also like to see a review of J. Herbin Authentic Ink ("Encre Authentique"). I think it's a relatively new ink.

Hi,

:W2FPN:

Herbin Encre Authentique is not designated as suitable for use in fountain pens.

Kindly refer to this Post: LINK

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
