The Jowo nib shop website

I grind a lot of nibs. I’ve continued to practice on cheaper Chinese and moving on the #5 and #6 Jowo, but I do have a concern about their website.  Without making it a link it’s Jowo shop dot com. I usually order single nibs from a different location. 

I’ve ordered -  3 #6 nib housings. The order has gone through, I’ve received a receipt but no other tracking information is up as yet; and I just have that funny feeling. 
Has anyone ordered from them? I don’t know where the shop is located but I’m ready to bombard them with mail. Thanks for any enlightening advice.

Smells fishy indeed... (look at how their "about us" page is worded for example).

 

AFAIK JoWo, a.k.a "JoWo Berliner Schreibfeder GmbH", doesn't do retail or have an official webshop (well, apart from its division that makes guitar parts).

 

⚠️There's another Shopify store apparently based in the UK, which also "borrows" the official name without proper disclosure: https://www.jowo-nibs.com/. That of course alone, doesn't mean they're not a legit business.

 

In my experience though, you can't go wrong with ordering from http://fpnibs.com. An excellent (and trustworthy) source of everything JoWo +much more.

On further inspection of their "terms & conditions", they claim to be registered in St. Catharines, Ontario under the name "Penfriends.ca". Don't bother following that url; it leads to a blank page. 🫥

Thanks. I think I’m screwed. Luckily I only spent $50 on some feeds and housings. Certainly something to be aware of. Considering it’s in Canada I’ll try to contact them.

You don't write how long you are waiting and if they don't answer contact request by website or by email.

I finally go through with one of the telephone numbers. As it turns out the gentleman is the Canadian distributor for Jowo. 
I did receive a tracking number that does coincide with Canada Post. 
The package should be arriving in a couple of weeks, which seems a little slow by mail standards. Per friends is a dead link, but it remains on the original Jowo shop website. 
if the package does arrive I’ll let everyone know and change my original post. 
I wanted feeds and housing only and the shop does offer that. Others offer a unit only.
