How to replace the ink sac on this Parker, Made in England pen

I picked up this Parker 51 clone with a 14K 585 nib.  The ink sac appears to be a traditional rubber one and it has hardened.  I have not been able to determine how to remove it from the casing.  It is marked Parker, Made in England.  If anybody has worked on such a pen and was able to replace the ink sac, I would appreciate how you were able to open it.  Thanks.

Heat the end to remove the plastic bushing by inserting something in the hole to wiggle it out.

Parker specified a #16.5 X 2.25 Necked and Tapered sac for all converters of this type.

Ok.

The pen is a Parker 65, not a 51 or clone, the 65 is a model in its own right.

The sac inside the Parker converter is usually very reliable and trouble free. I would fill it with warm water, cooler than the water in which you might wash your face. leave the converter in the water for an hour, it may have been left full of ink and is now dried up. Repeat until all the ink has gone. If the sac is still hard and a problem then I would simply replace it rather than repair, or use a Parker cartridge.

I replace the sacs in these, if possible.  A little time and a $3 sac VS a $15+ piston converter.  I like the squeeze converters better than piston.

The Parker converters are now getting pricy as people have begun collecting 45s, 75s, 65s, etc and they want period correct converters for them.
