The Kinsin 28 race between 永续好物 and ADMOK

ADMOK released a button-filling Kinsin-28-ish pen called the ADMOK 28. However it was not very satisfying, having no breather tube, a rather short sac, and rather soft press bar.
Later, a new brand called 永续好物(official English unknown by the time) released their remastered Kinsin 28 demonstrator , the 永续好物286, with custom stamp JunL OEM gold nibs.

The guy who run ADMOK went mad because they knew each other, but the guy who run 永续好物 never said a word about plans of making Kinsin 28.

ADMOK reacted super fast. As for the second batch, the barrel is adjusted to be more accurately a Kinsin28, a longer sac is used. They also offer an option to fit a breather tube to feeder nipple, and two sets of press bars of different strength.

永续好物's 286 is not heard to expect any changes, and will soon come in different color resin barrels and will have JunL steel/gold nib options.

cat fight between the unprofessionals.

This incident was featured in March monthly digest.

This joke will accompany Admok till the last day of his business.

Is there really some kind of digest article on this forum? How can I read it?

Very interesting! I hope both Veritas and this Admok competitor come to international markets!

Google translate company as sustainable goods. But don't know how accurate the translation is. Also hope it comes to AliExpress. Would love a demo button filler.

I was intrigued by this and asked 365Days what they knew about this new company and a demo 28 and received the photos below. I like the third photo because they are clearly proud of their button filler and are showing it off. I note that the sac is longer, as per SDK pointing out how short Admok’s sac is.

365Days called it the “Yongxu 286” and said it will be available April 17 (in their store). Addin the ‘6’ to the 28 designation and putting a ‘6’ on the nib must be a throw-back hint toward the original 28 but someone will have to explain the connection.

I hope there’s a steel nib version available but that it still has a keyhole nib, a favorite feature of mine from vintage Waterman pens. Notice also the rollerball clip. This is a homage, not a clone.

For 永续好物
There will be beautiful acrylic 286s, but the demonstrator with engraving letters is limited 100pcs and has already sold out.

There will be a vac-filler 28-like pen, called 386. After 386, a duofold-like pen, button filling, to be called 296.

Plans of  ADMOK not known by the time.

Found a listing on AliExpress for different acrylic colorways of the Admok 28. These are currently listed at about $38 USD. Most of the acrylic colorways are common to the J800, but there appear to be some new colorways as welllarge.IMG_1867.jpeg.a1625f40d0c6fdefbe35ad3983cb8345.jpeg

Would prefer admok to do a j1000 with a nice juice #8 nib

That’s a Brilliant idea!

Admok is strange, they have done a new version of their Duofold-style pen in the colorful stabilized wood, like Asvine’s C2000, but for almost $200! SKD says Admok isn’t respected in the Chinese pen world.

That is weird. Because the j 4 and 8 felt like decent material and weight. While the 28 kinda feels like I am using my twsbi go and swipe both in material and weight.

This Yongxu 286 just appeared on AliExpress in three colors. $40 USD. large.IMG_1889.jpeg.29bd6bc0f73b8f4625e98c1e7165c4ba.jpeg

Oh to have that translucent pink Prera! @migo984 has the Oeste series named after birds. There is a pink one, so I’m assuming Este is the same pen as Oeste.    Excellent haul. I have some Uniball One P pens. Do you like to use them? I like them enough, but don’t use them too much yet.    Do you or your wife use Travelers Notebooks? Seeing you were at Kyoto, I thought of them as there is a store there.

It's not nearly so thick that I feel it comprises my fine-grained control, the way I feel about the Cross Peerless 125 or some of the high-end TACCIA Urushi pens with cigar-shaped bodies and 18K gold nibs. Why would you expect me or anyone else to make explicit mention of it, if it isn't a travesty or such a disappointment that an owner of the pen would want to bring it to the attention of his/her peers so that they could “learn from his/her mistake” without paying the price?

Why nobody says that the section of Tuzu besides triangular shape is quite thick. Honestly it’s the thickest one among my many pens, other thick I own is Noodler’s Ahab. Because of that fat section I feel more control and my handwriting has improved. I can’t say it’s comfortable or uncomfortable, but needs a moment to accommodate. It’s funny because my school years are long over. Besides this pen had horrible F nib. Tines were perfectly aligned but it was so scratchy on left stroke that collecte

Awesome! I'm in the process of preparing my bag for our pen meet this weekend and I literally have none of the items you mention!! I'll see if I can find one or two!

@asota -- Yeah, I think I have a few rolls in my fridge that are probably 20-30 years old at this point (don't remember now if they are B&W or color film) and don't even really know where to get the film processed, once the drive through kiosks went away....  I just did a quick Google search and (in theory) there was a place the next town over from me -- but got a 404 error message when I tried to click on the link....  Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth
