They made Petrol in 2017. The "Fuel Ash" might be a Chinese mistranslation. I note that most of the eBay sellers that have the Fuel Ash are from China and they all have the same pictures. They are not clear, but from what I can see they seem to be similar to the Petrol.

Came for the same reason... China one of eBay are around $25CAD if I search Fuel Ash, and all EF nibs... when I switch to Petrol, price jumps to over $100CAD and mostly Germany/Japan.

The Lamy Safari pens sold from China are, as far as I can tell, knockoffs. It seems that one Chinese Seller has opened an account in the Philippines as well, as they use the same descriptions and photos.

Your opinion is useful when buying LE. Safari pens. It is not clear at all why some pens have such a good price and availability many years after other dealers are sold out on a certain pen.
