pilot 823 posting question

When firmly posted, the cap on my 823 now can be wiggled left and right a few mm. If I remember correctly, it did not do this when I first bought it. Is this normal? What is your experience with posting 823s?

I don't mean to belittle your question; but isn't the answer simply to refrain from posting the cap?  I have never posted any caps and I therefore have no marks around the barrel of any pen as proof...

 

I love the balance of my 743 as it is, naked as nature intended.  😉

Thanks for responding. I like the nib on my 823, but I would be just as happy to have it in a 743.

I've only had my 823 for a few days, but the cap is nice and tight when posted.
