Quick Question about Pencil Sharpeners

Hello, friends!

Does anyone know of a helical sharpener that produces a short point? My current helical sharpener, a Classroom Friendly, produces a long point unsuited to colored pencils and to softer graphite.

For visual reference: I prefer the point on the left.

Thanks a bunch ☺️

I'll admit that I almost never use a "standard" #2 pencil -- I've used lead holders since I was in college (Koh-i-Noor and Staedtler-Mars) and have special sharpeners for the 2 mm leads that fit in them.  It took me something like a decade to go through a 12 pack of the Koh-i-Noor leads.

Thanks, Ruth!

I, too, very much enjoy lead holders. Do you have a favorite lead pointer?

I don't mean to impugn the Classroom Friendly sharpener, by the way, which produces as perfect a needle point as one could wish. Highly recommended for most pencils!
