One of the unique things about NZ is thanks to its small population is the way when two meet the law about three degrees of separation is tightened up significantly.

So two NZers meet on the far side of the world, "where are you from?"
Some place we have never heard of but their daughter flatted with daughter of friends, and so it goes.

My path here started when I bought a writing box for the stamps and paraphernalia required as a Justice of the Peace. The cardboard box wasn’t cutting it.

It had pen holders so I gathered up my old student Parker 51, nice to use again.
Then it started, a matching Parker 51 ballpoint would be nice, ok, how about matching mechanical pencil, picked up an unopened Parker Jotter set 1990 locally, the old price was $15.50 present was $8, great buy.

And so it goes

A Parker 51 is a wonderful thing - uncaps quickly, writes full and wet, and lasts a very long time. When they do need repair, there are many specialists out there who can do the job.
