Un named, rolled gold Conway Stewart

Hi Forum,

I picked up one of these at the Melbourne Pen Show in Australia last month - https://goodwriterspens.com/2019/01/15/a-gold-conway-stewart/

The information on the blog post above seems to indicate that it could be anything from 1930's to 1960's.

Does anyone else have more information on them or can confirm what is written in the post?

It is a handsome pen, but to me, it doesn't feel old enough to be 1930's.

thank

Read the comments to the topic you have linked for the best information. The pen is certainly not 1930s, but is probably US made and post war. They never appeared in the CS advertising so it has not so far been possible to date them precisely. Also note the screw-in section, unusual for CS.

they are an oddity, that's why I bought it, haven't seen another like it. Wonder how they get out in the wild. Would like to see one next to a gold filled Conklin, the threads look very similar.

Mine has been serviced, has a new sac inserted, the lever is odd being near the end of the barrel. Small thin pen too.

I have a CS (rolled?)gold fountain pen ,lever fill. Conway Stewart London engraved on the cap and barrel. The cartouche has an inscription  dated 1934.
