Dried up ink between inner and outer cap

My M800 Demonstrator has dried up ink between the inner and the outer cap. Any idea how I can remove this?

Imagine what your non-demonstrator pens are hiding.  Very scary.

I would leave the cap to soak in water (not hot!) for a couple of days, and see if that dissolves the ink and gets it out.

I second the long term soaking.  A sonic cleaner would also help greatly to loosen the dried ink and improve the odds of it migrating out between the caps.

What you need to pick up is a hobby syringe that you can use to squirt water into the gap between the inner and outer cap.  This also works down at the inside transition between the barrel and section of the clear Pelikans that can accumulate ink.

It also works well for moving ink around between other containers or vials. And since it is plastic, there is no worry about scratches.
