HEY GUYS! I am very excited to be here and connect with the community - glad to know that not everyone is only on their phones!

 

I started to love pens since I got my first "luxury" pen (a Cross classic century pencil) from my mum when I was in primary school. When I was 13 I used all my pocket money to buy my first fountain pen: Mont Blanc hommage a Mozart - which is still my favorite to this day!
 
Fountain pen writing is enjoyable and at times meditative. It helps us to stay focus in a digital world fighting for our attention with unlimited amount of info. But I find that there is a lot of clutter on our physical desks (ink bottles etc.). I want to create a solution that can help us truly to focus and be productive: by organizing our fountain pens and related accessories in an asethetically pleasing way.
 
I want to share my journey to create a solution here from the start with you.
Let's join me in my journey to create the solutions and be part of creation with your opinions and feedback!

Welcome to FPN! 🙂

 

I shudder at the thought of minimalism, and my desk always looks like a city street the morning after a New Year's Eve party.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I'm actually not a very good artist, but I am a heck of a doodler.  I doodle with FPs and some highlighters then I use a water brush to make me look like an artist.

Interesting. Quite an innovative combination: FPs, highlighters and water brush!

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off.
