Endless Recorder paper change???

PenChalet is running a back-to-school sale, and in their highlighted items they have Endless Recorders described as such:

We still have some of the Endless Recorder notebooks with Tomoe River paper. Each notebook comes with 192 5 1/2" x 8 3/8" pages of 68GSM paper inside a hard leatherette cover. Choose from several colors in both blank or dot grid. Each notebook has an elastic closure and an expanding pocket on the inside of the back cover.

I checked the endless website and they seem to be doing their own 80 gsm paper now.  Has anyone tried this Regalia paper that Endless is switching to?  I need to know if I have to stock up on dot-journals in my preferred colors while I can.  I love the Tomoe River journals.

Yes, but I am trying not to hoard!

That makes no sense to me. :) As a consumer (or anything else, really), you will always have to work with incomplete and imperfect information, and have no real control over whether a product you like — or even rely on — will change, or be discontinued altogether, with little or no notice at all. I'm not even sure you ‘know’, or have a realistic forecast, of how much of a product you will consume before you have no more use for it, either because you find a preferred alternative (which may even not exist yet) some time in the future, or lose your ability to use the product by going blind, or losing the use of your writing hand, or being dead. If the priority is to not run the risk of running out, then the only logical course of preventative action is to hoard; but if the priority is to not hoard, then you must be prepared to risk running out and will just adapt to whatever is available then in such an event.

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

So I'm working very hard on this whole "control" thing...  Acceptance is not my forte.

Yet, there's a question of whether the substitute product is worth my stocking up.  It still has many of the features I love in this particular journal; the paper may be - dare I say - even better than Tomoe River, I just have no idea.  I do have other journals I can be satisfied with(the economical Peter Pauper basic, for example).  It's not a simple stock up/don't as I have to weigh how suitable potential substitutes are, how expensive it would be to stock up, how much room it would take...  It's a continuous function, so to speak, based on a matrix of characteristics.

Agreed! But if the new journal paper is as good or better, it is prudent not to purchase a soon-to-be-obsolete version!  That's why I keep hoping someone here has tried this new paper.
