first my apology for my ignorance.

How is this Italic Edge nib different from say BBB?
What are the distinguished features? Is that wider than BBB even?

I think this would be about a 4B if it were a regularly cataloged nib, but don't hold me to that. The normal Montblanc BB and wider nibs could be called stubs, but this is probably closer in behavior to a CI(cursive italic).

To me, too, the one stand-out feature is the 70º rotation giving you a very useable EF nib. Yes, there are other nibs that will do this if used upside down, but with skill(that I don't have-yet) it should be possible to transition even within a letter from the EF portion of the nib to the regular "Italic Edge" on it. That part alone is unlike any other nib I've ever written with, especially given that most get VERY unhappy if you're basically writing on a corner of the nib.

I switched ink a bit sooner than I might have otherwise as the Akkerman Shcoking Blue was just a bit too much!
