Chuckle-worthy and  slyly subtle awa54.

We’re both getting into dangerous “ territory”, me much more overtly than you; I was afraid the snippet you quoted was going to get me blocked, but, so far, l’m under the radar. I’m grateful FPN isn’t Twitter or FB.

If I ever do get some of the ink I’ll be happy to opine.

Surely you can just order it on eBay, or from Amazon JP, etc.? Stilo&Stile in Italy will certainly ship to the US, as will LarryPOST, irrespective of whether Pilot Pen officially distributes the product in the US in the meantime.

For what it’s worth, I’ve sent a query to vendor Jetpens in California. I’ll report on any reply.

I may just order a bottle or 2  from Stilo & Stile in Italy & try not to gag on the shipping costs which I’m sure will exceed the cost of the ink.

Nope. €13.50 less VAT for a bottle of Pilot Tsuwairo ink, and €6.90 for shipping by registered mail to the US. Only blue-black is available at the moment; black and blue appears sold out for now. (Blue was available, at least from Stilo&Stile via its eBay store, when I looked six hours ago.)

"

"Pilot does not recommend to use this ink with Urushi lacquered pens, Pilot Custom 823, Pilot Heritage 92 and Pilot Justus 95."

makes me a little cautious though...  My pelikans and VP are easy to clean though.

Still looks like a nice blue... not sure if i like it better htan sailor pigmented blue; have to try it live to decide that

sounds like an overabundance of caution from Pilot, or an admission that these inks cause staining...

either way, my experiences with pigment inks have all been less satisfactory than those with "gold standard" dye based inks (even if only subtly in some cases), so I won't be rushing to jump on this bandwagon.

it is great to see continuing developments in the inkosphere though, more options is always better!

David-

So many restoration projects...
