Selling out 90-95% of my pens

Recommended Posts

As I have found the pens I need, I can sell the rest. I have created therefore a website where I show the available pens.

Sales pages

90-95% of the pens have to go. Don't pity me, I still have (more than) enough, as you can see here: my keepers. The 2nd-level-keepers on that page can also be sold if your offering price is good.

Just a note to say thank you for the exceptionally good photographs and the herculean task of organizing and identifying so many pens.

My apologies, I hit the post before I realized that it was in the correct forum.

The pens you have listed, are beautiful.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

I purchased 5 of Michael's pens in one fell swoop, and I must say that I am very pleased.  He checks the tracking more frequently than I do!

They look as good in real life as they do in pictures, and it is evident that they are all meticulously cared for and / or restored.

It' s also very pleasant to exchange pen interests with Michael.  Anyone who purchases these pens will be happy with their purchase.

Thank you. Yes, I had and have some nice pens but I decided to keep only a few (still many) and focus on pens that I regularly use.

At the moment, I am eyeing a Namiki Emperor. If I really buy that pen, then I will sell even more nice pens because the Namiki would replace a number of big pens (Pelikan, YOL, Sailor, Montblanc, Lotus).

I will take my time with selling. It took me years to buy so I accept that it might take me years to sell.

I will plan to put together some sets of pens, Chinese - with a good price reduction. So people could try a number of different ones. Especially interesting for people who might want to disassemble/reassemble pens without risking expensive pens.

Thank you, I appreciate your comment.

Some pens are not restored nor well enough cared for. But I will be honest describing their condition.

I was looking over your lovely collection.  Is the rest of this on hold 'til 2023?  Second thoughts?

Second thoughts

Yahoo Auctions, Mercari and Paypal all report to the tax office. Second-hand shops too if you sell to them a lot.

If you cross a threshold, the tax office charges 10% consumption tax plus income tax.

Ah, quite reasonable  on your part to stop then; but it may take you a number of years to slim down such a lovely collection with those rules!

Thank for your interest. Everything on the website is accurate. As soon as someone is saying, he/she is interested in a pen, this pen is then put on hold and it is reflected on the website.

You might want to reload the page to see if something has changed. Web browsers tend not to update a page too often.

Thank you for your response.

I will definitely go back and review the available pens.

how long does a pen stay on hold?

Not for long, most are nearly sold. I give two days time after sending them an invoice. If they don't pay in that time, I will remove the on hold. If they pay, I delete the pen information (picture and text).

Just got a mail from someone interested in a pen:

"If you wish to sell me this pen please forward the paypal invoice.  Today. "

Nice, isn't it.

I declined to serve him.

That would be me. I asked you two days ago to forward the invoice, and did not receive a reply. Which is why I asked again.

For the sake of fullness here's the part you left out:

If you choose not to, me being the way I am, will conclude that you have no serious  interest in selling the pen and I’ll move on.  Nothing personal.

The two day thing is your standard, no?

Add lightness and simplicate.

You forgot that you said, you would be more interested in the silver one. So, I waited to know if the person asked to put it on hold would actually buy it or not.
