UK only: reddish ink samples PIF (I pay postage)

I am trying to clear out some ink samples that I've tried a bit of and didn't care for. (In case you're concerned I'm sending you duds, the reason I didn't care for these is that I'm really not too much a fan of red/orange/pink inks.) If you're in the UK and want to try some reds/pinks/oranges, here's what I've got:

Iroshizuku

  • Tsutsuji: 1.5mL
  • Kosumosu: 2mL
  • Momiji: 2mL
  • Fuyu-gaki: 6mL (a whole sample vial--I've got a full bottle and will just fill it up)

Noodlers

  • Apache sunset: 1.5mL (? label blocks the view, but it's not a lot)
  • Rattler Red: 6mL? (a whole sample vial) <- kind of a chalky color, but it's supposed to be good for cleaning out ink stains in demonstrators

R&K

  • Dokumentus Majenta: 2.5 mL (?label blocks the view, but it's a reasonably generous sample. Be warned: This ink leaves chunks of pigments behind on the feed that I needed to pull out with a toothpick and pen flush, so don't put it in fragile old pens!)

If I get more than one request then I'll do a random draw on Saturday (19th March) at 12pm UK time and notify the winner.

If you don't win, no worries! I'll do another clear-out of next week, and I'm eyeing other things to get rid of in the UK area after that.

Very generous of you! I'd be interested in trying the Momiji and/or Tsutsuji please.

I've got Yu-Yaki and love it as an Autumn ink, but something more spring-like would be nice to try :)

Thanks

Gareth

Hi! Sorry I wasn't clear. This is a package deal, all or nothing. Do you want them all?

Ok, great! I'm going to post it this weekend, so if no one else wants it (thus triggering randomizer) I'll get in touch with you by PM to get shipping details.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
