It seems they want to "make my life difficult"*, the pens in the picture look like Design 04 in platinum, rose-gold, silver, and yellow-gold.

*Increasing the number of choices, so I cannot choose easily.

I own 2 #4 O Hs plus one I gave to a friend. In my opinion they make the best steel nibs out of the box that I know.

Especially with the prices on az.de (around 70-80$ thanks to a price tracker).

Thanks or because of your reviews, I have bought over a dozen G. von F-C, Waldmann, O Hutt, etc...

No regret though.

Nice to hear that you joined in acquiring niche producers' pens. (That is what a famous penfluencer said to me.)

I prefer the shiny finish though

If you want such a pen in 'shiny', ask them if they can take out a pen barrel before it is sanded to become matte and follow up with the rest. I don't know their production procedures, so I don't know if it is really possible or not.

What is a good (cheap) source for these pens in Europe?

How about La Couronne du Comte?

Otto Hutt will show their new models in a livestream:

The first live-stream has just finished. The guesses above were correct.

They presented:

3 new colors for Design 01 (matte black/green/blue) coming out in April

4 new models of Design 04 (yellow-gold, ruthenium, rose-gold and platinum), in some cases, the nib colors reflect the pen colors coming out in June

2 new models of Design 07 (corn guilloche and all-black, the latter has a PVD-coated all-black nib) coming out in April?/October? (forgot)

2 new models of Design 08, one in yellow-gold and one in all-black, the nib however is not black, coming out in October

For those who cannot see one of the three streamings today, they will upload it on their Youtube channel.

More to see about Otto Hutt:

@mke  For what it is worth, I vote Rose Gold.  :)

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
