Hi there!

Nice find...I love art deco ink bottles..and phenol smell ..I suggest to filter your ink before to use it.

Best regards.

I've gotten a lot of bottles of vintage Quink from the same era (1940s) and the only one that probably needed to be filtered was a bottle of Quink Brown (which I thought at first was Quink Red, to be perfectly honest).

I've got some vintage Quink Permanent Royal Blue in the Parker 45 Arrow I bought last month at the Commonwealth Pen Show, even as we speak.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Thanks! I put it in my Urban, which I had irresponsibly let dry out with some Scribe Indigo in it; good old Solv-X still seems to work its pen-cleaning magic! :D I was going to look around to find out what era the bottle is from, but you've saved me the trouble, Ruth.

They also had some large (like litre large) bottles of Sanford Blue Black. Those were pricier, and I didn't pull the trigger on the spur of the moment, but if we go back I may grab one if they're still there.
