Peter's of Kensington official eBay store 20%-22% off today

There's a eBay promotion in play for 26/9/2021 that gives any random Joe Punter 20% off the prices in Peter's of Kensington's official eBay store, or 22% off for eBay Plus members.

Sadly, not much of interest to me personally (even if I were still in the market for pens and inks today), but I'll call out that:

  • Monteverde 10-colour (Bloo, Emotions, Gemstone, and Noir ink collections) gift sets are now A$56 (or less) after discount
  • Pelikan Souverän M605 Green-White fountain pen (different nib sizes still available) is now A$416.80 (or less) after discount
That is much cheaper than ordering it from my normal go-to European retailers for Pelikan products, even after stacking discounts to get an overall 19%–20% off the regular price, and with ‘free’ international shipping by DHL.

I personally wouldn't be able to get those items any cheaper anywhere else.

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct for valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

lamy 2000 makrolon for 299aud

Ah, I don't know about that… as in, I don't think that's a good deal. I still have a new one sitting uninked since it arrived some 18 to 24 months ago, which I bought for US$99.

The stainless steel version of the Lamy 2000 is listed at $374 less 20%, so $299 which is approximately US$217 today. What did EndlessPens or MassDrop sell those for? I can't remember.

Well, I just ordered two Monteverde 10-colour gift sets with the balance in my PayPa account (from having arranged someone else's order at my discount level with a retailer a while back). That's two friends' Christmas presents sorted… if we get to catch up in person before then. (Spending $15 on Australia Post's more-dubious-than-ever parcel post service to ship a $60 item to someone is just ‘wrong’ in my book.)

@Ruaidhri This was an absolutely wonderful bit of writing, and I hope that you're able to maintain the style once all of the medications are out of your system.  Take care and recover quickly!

These comments make me sad as I sympathise with Ruaidhri, having great difficulties in being taken seriously. Or being taken at all (no off-colors jokes, please!) In spite of overwhelming odds,  Ruaidhri -now I know how to spell it- made a courageous decision and stuck to it. I was diagnosed with a similar growth in a place I will not reveal. Oh, well, if you insist it was Mount Sinai Hospital. But I firmly intend to walk in Ruaidhri's footsteps, if he will let me, on my next visit to Dublin.

Reminds me of the day my associates and I developed a cure for all mankind's ills and mistakenly wrote it down with invisible ink.

Was that the end of the Laboratory? Somehow the exactitude created a fully destructive device, as always!
