Delta Dolce Vita Revival?

Hi all,

Upon visiting the Leonardo Pens website, one sees a tantalizing slide, with characteristic orange and black resin rods in the background entitled "Dolce Vita, coming soon". Any ideas about what this could presage? Will Leonardo be reintroducing one of my favorite and thus far unattainable pen models, the storied Dolce Vita?

Thoughts?

I would be surprised if it were anything like that. It is made by the same craftsman who made the original Dolce Vita.

Hopefully so.  Then I can sell my original to finance two of the new. 😁

I think Leonardo already did something along the lines of Dolce Vita.  Maybe a new one will be closer to the original?

Ah indeed, I see. When did this happen?

A return of the true dolce vita would be great. That simply looks like a Momento Zero in dolce vita colors…

It is a Momento Zero in Dolce Vita colors.  I believe it was a Pen Chalet exclusive circa 2019

Nino Marino, the other founder of Delta along with Ciro Matrone, is making a model, the Maiora "Mythos," that is a near clone of the Dolce Vita. It is made in C/C  and piston models. I have one of the Maiora "Signature" pens, which is identical in form to the piston version of the Mythos, and it could be easily mistaken for a Dolce Vita Stantuffo, even down to the cap band.

Hmm.  Tapered barrel, tapered section, step-down, and a section ring.  No thanks

You know, I have a few Delta Dolce Vitas. I like them, but they don't get a whole lot of use.  Why should I seek out a clone/wannabe Dolce Vita? I feel the same way but more so about the OMAS wannabes.

Maybe it's just me.

I agree not features of the original Dolce Vita, but integral to such much loved models as the Leonardo MZG and Furore Grande. Not necessarily a deal breaker as such, at least not for me.

Strange that Leonardo is remaking it for the Japanese market only. However, they still claim on their website that some form of it is "coming soon". I wonder if it will be an actual genuine remake. Would be great.

On another note, I really want a Dolce Vita...anybody want to sell me one?

Which excludes me.  Fortunately I have a Dolcevita (one word) 😀

I think they "tested the water" with that Japan release, then decided to work on a reissue after seeing what Marino is doing with his brand Maiora.

I prefer the Leonardo take but already got an original Delta Dolcevita, so...

@Ruaidhri This was an absolutely wonderful bit of writing, and I hope that you're able to maintain the style once all of the medications are out of your system.  Take care and recover quickly!

These comments make me sad as I sympathise with Ruaidhri, having great difficulties in being taken seriously. Or being taken at all (no off-colors jokes, please!) In spite of overwhelming odds,  Ruaidhri -now I know how to spell it- made a courageous decision and stuck to it. I was diagnosed with a similar growth in a place I will not reveal. Oh, well, if you insist it was Mount Sinai Hospital. But I firmly intend to walk in Ruaidhri's footsteps, if he will let me, on my next visit to Dublin.

Was that the end of the Laboratory? Somehow the exactitude created a fully destructive device, as always!
