Asian equivalents to a Sheaffer Balance?

I've been looking for fountain pens that are cigarish like a Sheaffer Balance, have slight bit of weight to them, and are overall rather smooth writers even on low quality paper. But I haven't really had too much luck finding them so far. I mean I've found brands like Jinhao the 159 which while cigarish are in the line of a MB 149 and have quality control issues.

 

And by like a Balance, I also mean roughly like 5.5~ inches in length, around half an inch or a bit more in diameter, and hopefully not heavy like it's made out of brass.

 

Is there anything that might fit this sort of description?

The most obvious is the Custom 823.

Wing Sung 626 and PenBBS 480

Wing Sung 626 is a half baked copy of the balance. The pen is there, but converters are wonky (they should've gone for a sac) and the section isn't black. 

Nib is typical Chinese with feedback and dry, I have no complaints here, although ugly to look at.

I’d say the most obvious answer is a Balance.  It ticks all the boxes except being Asian.

....at best.  I had one.   I really liked the red one.  I had to chase the barrel threads before the cap would screw on right.  The plastic is too thin, and it shrank, so you got this wrinkled, puckered thing after a few years, that also cracked around the clip.  I pulled the nib, feed (which was white), and the converter, and tossed the rest.  It is the only Wing Sung that I've been disappointed in. 

 

I found that the Wing Sung 699, which is a copy of the 823, is a very nicely made pen.  I have two, and have had them in use for about a year. 

 

The original Balance really is in a class by itself.  Well made, with the very stable celluloid in the striped and black pens.  Black and pearl is pretty good, the marbled marine green and the gray with red veins seeming to be the most vulnerable.
