PIF: 1 Bottle of ink (Sailor Ink Studio - #140)

I tried to like this ink...I really did.
Originally I purchased it to try and hold off the jonesing for "Troublemaker - Milky Ocean".
It didn't work...and I do NOT like this ink.
I've posted a review on it and it's just not for me.
Maybe it will work better for you.

First come first serve...
One bottle of "Sailor Ink Studio - #140" that's missing about 2 fills...hehe 😋

Bottle will go out in the mail on next Monday or later if it's claimed after next Monday...

I'd like it, if you don't mind shipping to Sweden.

Yes please!

Edit to add: I've been curios about Japanese ink for a while, but have been digging thru "locally" produced ink, since I'm new to the hobby and not a millionaire. :)

Hi there, if locked to Con-US, I'd like my shot! I greatly appreciate the kind gesture!

Edit:Always excited to jump in and try some Japanese inks, especially Blue(s)

Ahhh...now that the thread has been posted, it looks like @Daneaxe is the winner!!

Please send me the address you would like the ink shipped to and I will send it out to you on Monday.
Congratulations!
Thank you @Daneaxe and @Motalu for participating.
I will be loading up a few more inks for PIF this week if the wife doesn't shake her finger at the shipping costs.

Awesome!!
Happy to see it arrived safe and sound...even though it took forever.
Wow...what a long trip!
I'm happy you liked the "letter-puzzle" I included. It's a victorian era method of secure letter wrapping that spies used. :D

All travel time considered, I'll hold off on ordering "Milky Ocean" until there is a US vendor selling it.
Right now, it's only available in the UK and AU.
I just don't feel like waiting that long now that I have "Sailor - Nadeshiko"...lol.
😛

I heard about your trouble with finding a good ink for your incredible flexi-pen. #luxuryproblem
😃
Have you tried the Pelikan 4001 Brilliant Brown? I like it, it also shades nicely in the right circumstances, and might be good in a flex...

Really? How interesting! I had guessed it was something historic, but had no idea that it was for 'shady dealings' - now we can use it for 'shading inks'...

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
