@hari317 very nice review sir! Quick qn about the Harmony and the Tanishq models? Is the pen too light to hold and use or comfortable like Airmail 69T? Both look very nice!

I can weigh them for you if you wish. Would that help?

That would be great! Thanks so much!

Also, it would be great to get your view on how you would compare them to 69T (the only other turned acrylic pen that i am familiar with :)

Sure sir! No rush! Thanks so much 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Couple of more questions about both of these pens for whenever you get a chance :)

1. Will Sheaffer NN feed fit in both of these pens?

2. I know that the Harmony takes a No 35 nib but I wanted to check if Tanishq can also take a No 35 nib  ( You used a M200 Nib unit which I guess is No 35 too) - so i am assuming there is no problem with nib hitting the cap.

Thanks in advance

I believe that the M200 nib is something like a 5.5 or 5mm. Probably not quite a #5 due to the amount it flares out vs a #5 from say Bock.

As to the Wality 69: I have used a Shaeffer feed in a #69. I have usually kept with the stock Wality or a OEM Kanwrite, which are 28 x 6mm.

The Wality nib is perfectly fine after attention with micromesh as required to suit your local papers. Kanwrite make the Wality branded nib.

Pen comfort is more related to the diameter & taper of the section vs the size of our hands.

These are very pretty. Thank you for sharing.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Here are the Aura Harmony and Tanishq compared to 69TL.

The capped weights in gms are:

Aura 14.45

Harmony 15.9

Tanishq 16.13

69TL 20.66

so the airmail is significantly heavier. Based on this you can decide whether Mohi will suit you.

aura and harmony and Tanishq should be able to take Sheaffer NN feed. Though I haven’t tried it. But feed diameter is same. Tanishq uses the slightly smaller Indian no 8 nib. Same as stock WALITY 69T nib. Tanishq can’t accept no 35nib. It will hit the cap.
I hope this helps.

Inspired by this thread :) :)

Yet to ink them... but quite nice to have them.. Tanishq is much smaller than I imagine and Harmony's gleam is so beautiful in real..

@hari317 Such a nice and informative feed. I really enjoyed reading it. This also made me purchase a Mohi Harmony in green. It's a little jewel and my everyday carry to my classes to write physics and Chemistry problems on notebooks. Extremely versatile and adjusts to different papers. A lovely nib. It wrote out of the box and is very smooth for a fine tip.

Mohi Chote Nawab:

This model was launched last month. Chote Nawab loosely translates to Prince or Little Prince. Fully made from ebonite, the pen is ED filled and takes no 5.5 nibs and has a proper no 5.5 ebonite feeder. The stock nib option is just a F and I want something wider so a KW BB stub was installed. The section has a rubber O ring so grease is not required.
The cap is 4 start and thus caps off and on in precisely one turn. Great convenience.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
