Pif, whatever you call it, fountain pen giveaway.Maybe more.

Recommended Posts

As it is, I have waaaay too many pens laying around the house! I've also received lots of items from others.

That being said, I'll send the first six who want one a fountain pen. No strings attached!

Well, maybe one string. I'm a sucker for vintage pencils, so if you've an old pencil in the drawer, I'll take it in trade 😉

Sorry. US only.

I'll pick out the pens, except for a pink Hero 616 that I have. I didn't care for the color, it also takes cartridges! Really!

That's it.

Hi Zookie,

Super that you enrich the community like this, I bow to you, sir.

Also, I'd like to be considered, except that I live on the other side of "the pond", i.e. the Atlantic, so maybe that disqualifies me?

;)

Stay safe,

Daneaxe

One more request to go.

No takers on the pink Hero?

NOT an entry, but I happen to have a pink Hero 616 and it's a nice little writer.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

It is a nice little pen, and I knew what color it was when I bought it, but I was expecting a rose pink not an eyeball searing hot pink. It also takes cartridges which I found surprising. Isn't the new "Parker" 51 made to use cartridges as well?

Not an entry for myself, but on behalf of my neighbor. I recently gave her two pens and she soon came over (yesterday) for more ink. It was awesome. (She brought a friend, so I passed along to the friend a Pelikano that someone here had given me, some inks, and the URLs for some favorite retailers.) I think my neighbor would be very into the pink Hero, if it is still available.

Also, I have a couple vintage (woodcase) pencils that I’d be happy to pass along.

Thanks!

Send me a pm with your address, and I'll get it out to you. I think I'll pass along some cartridges as well.

I tried sending you a message, but the response was "Zookie,Mysterious Mose cannot receive messages."

I wrote to you several weeks ago saying I'm interested, but haven't received any response from you.

We're all plenty excited.

I appreciate your offerings, and I hope the 6 ships weren't too much of a dollar dent. | If I may ask, how much was the six ships?

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
