I see from a blurb that ASC is following in the footsteps of OMAS, and from the pricing I am seeing, these should be high end pens.  But I have never heard of the brand, is it new?  Is it reliable?  I cannot afford to spend a lot on an unknown quantity, but the pens do look attractive.  Any advice would be appreciated.

Searching here will provide you with lots of information!

 

The search feature here does not work particularly well. I find when searching here (on FPN) it is better to use Google. 

 

Put in your search terms (Use "ASC'  Also search using "The Pen Family") followed by "site:fountainpennetwork.com" and Google searches this site only.  It usually works really well.

I did a favorable review on one of their low end models, the Studio here on FPN. Look under Reviews.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
