:)  Wonderful, @Detman101!  Love the flurry of reviews.  Off to check out the others.  Thanks for doing these.

Awesome, thank you!
There's at least 10 more to come in the upcoming days!
Mizgeorge really hooked me up with a plethora of samples.
:D

I love flex reviews. They show off other properties of the ink. Though I have to admit, I have difficulty discerning  any shading ;)

Glad to see this ink is back. My all-time favourite green. The colour is fantastic, the flow -- as you pointed out -- is phenomenal. This is the wettest ink I have (I think). As had been said previously, the name fits nicely to the flow. But that was about 10 years ago when this whole CdA series was discontinued.

Very odd...the scanner doesn't pick up the shading as well as I can see it with my eyes on the paper. I may have to take a photo for comparison 🤔

Yes indeed!! This ink is like "Green" on steroids!! I have never seen such a vibrant green before, it's amazingly fun to write with as well! And its wet...without being...what's the word...watery?
Like...it flows great, but it keeps itself together on the paper and doesn't feather, spread or soak through the page!
Yeah, I'm sad to see that the "Colours of the Earth" series was discontinued, but I'm going to buy a sample of the replacement for this ink in the "Chromatics" line... "Vibrant Green" and pray that it's as awesome as this ink is. If it is...I'm immediately buying a bottle.
I could see using this ink for a few months straight! It just POPS off the page!

Haha - I'm so sorry for including an unobtanium ink, but I knew you'd love Amazon - it makes other greens look weedy by comparison!

That's quite alright!
It's turned me on to their "Caran D'Ache - Vibrant Green"!!!
If the flow on that one is as AWESOME as this one...I'm golden! :D

Good that you mentioned VIBRANT GREEN. It's probably a good substitute, just as awesomely wet although too blue. Ditto DELICATE GREEN, but way too yellow.

We're really lucky, especially because @mizgeorge seems to have great taste in ink!

YES!!
She absolutely does!
She has all the inks I love and shared them with me, graciously.
This is one of the greatest Fountain Pen gifts that I've ever received!

Dunno, something about the color sets my teeth on edge. At least it's, um, emphatic, unlike those two washed-out MBs. Doesn't make up for the color, though.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
