I'd like to borrow a vintage Jumbo japanese pen. UK

Hello,

Does anyone in the UK have a vintage Japanese Jumbo fountain pen I could borrow for a short time?

I am planning on filming a YouTube review of the Moonman Q1 jumbo or Mojiang Q1 fountain pen and I'd really like to compare it to an old Vintage Japanese Jumbo pen which it way be loosely (or perhaps very closely!) based on.

Would anyone be kind enough to loan me one for a short while? It does not even have to be a working example, it's just to get a look at the physical similarities and compare the dimensions.

I am based in Scotland, UK.

I am happy to forward a payment as a deposit to give confidence, until it's safe return.

I would mention Fountain Pen Network, (and the user name if wanted) in the video to explain the story of how I was kindly loaned the Japanese Jumbo.

Might even consider buying a Jumbo, even if it's a non working example.

I have only started filming ink drawings and fountain pen reviews, although my channel has been going many years with different content.

My first proper fountain pen review is coming soon, a Kaweco Sport AL review.

YouTube Channel name is BRICKADILLO.

Here is an example of a recent video if you're interested to see, It features several pens, including the Sailor Desk Pen EF to make a drawing. My new pen reviews will be a bit different to this video, I am still trying to pin down my new style and approach, but certainly trying to do something different featuring fountain pens.

Thanks,

Andrew

Sorry,

I now see this may be in the wrong forum category.

I am not talking about a pen made in UK. I do apologise.

Is there a wanted section I should put this request in?

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
