Fritz Schimpf gewitterwolke (stormy blue)

Fritz Schimpf is a stationer in Tübingen, Germany, and this is one of their seven (as of this writing) house-branded inks.

 

gewitterwolke (German for thundercloud) is a slightly green leaning (but not teal) medium blue. It is available in a 30ml bottle for 5.49€. It's also part of a four ink set for 19.95€.

 

It's my favorite of the Fritz Schimpf inks so far; it's low key without being faded or dull.

Nice, I love this one too, I have a sample received from Fritz Schimpf with a pen, but I'm seriously thinking of getting a full bottle.

The name does describe it well (stormy blue) it's darkish, with a very faint green shade but not teal, which I usually do not like.

It's also close to a blue-black but the blue tint remains very evident.

I didn't remember seeing any green tinge last I used this ink (I gor a bottle as part of the four bottle set), but, by golly, when I spread some out, I DID see a bit of green tinge.

 

Yes, a lovely, dark, stormy blue.
