Kaweco Liliput Fireblue Clone: Delike Element 'Titanium'

Hello my fellow fountain pen addicts,

 

I came across this Aliexpress listing for an "Outdoors Writing Tools EDC Colorful Pocket Pen Titanium Pen" from the seller E-Boy Store.

The photos on the listing show a pen that looks very similar to the popular Delike Element brass pen. Some observations of this pen:

   -  "Fireblue" flame anodized colour of the cap, section, and barrel

   -  "size: 11.8cm X 1.0cm (Length X Width)"

   -  no threads on the outer surface of rounded end of the cap

   -  features a 'Dlike Super Quality EF' nib

   -  the section appears to be long and straight, with a step down towards the nib; as opposed to the hourglass shaped section of the Delike Element

   -  several reviews comment that the pen is rather light; I would not believe this pen is made of titanium but steel rather similar to the Kaweco Liliput Fireblue 

   -  there is also a plain silver-coloured version of this pen by the same seller 

 

I have tried contacting the seller for weight of the pen but have not received a response. Does anyone have experience with this pen? If so, do you know what the total weight of the pen is?

The density of titanium is ~43% lower than that of steel, so I'm not quite sure whether you mean you think it would be a heavier pen if its body was indeed made of titanium instead of steel, or that just the looks of the pen make you believe the body is made of the same material as that of the Kaweco Liliput Fireblue.

 

Coloured titanium can look like that; I know that from when I was shopping for my wedding ring. In which case, the colour could wear off permanently with use.

Well by definition the fireblue process is not anodisation by any measure and it might really be Titanium , it might be , used to be , an exotic material and still sounds like one today but in reality it's widely used and not really expensive anymore. It's more expensive than like of stainless steel but not really expensive.

I do not have one.

 

But from the description, to me it sounds like the Alpha: they have given it the looks by providing a "painted" artificial layer. Hence the "anodized" instead of "torched", but it might also be a translation flaw.
