Does anyone have a review of this amazing ink?
How did people find out about it...but no one knew?

Hello, this is my first post and my first ink review. I just received this ink, and I am very pleased with it.

My impressions: the ink is well behaved and pleasant in both pens (one is wetter, one is drier). Beautiful bottle green color with nice shading.

OMG...THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
@RBLembergyou are my ink HERO!!!
I have been smitten by this ink only to find out they are out of stock.
I'm waiting...waiting...and looking for all the info I can find.
Thank you SOOOO much for this review!!! It looks even more beautiful on your picture than what I've seen on the youtube showing of the ink!

I have GOT TO HAVE this ink!!!
I have been in love with "Montblanc - Irish Green" for the past few months...but I've had to always add a drop of black ink to my pen reservoir to get the ink the right shade.
THIS Yoseka ink looks to be the exact shade I've been seeking!!

Summer can't come soon enough... 😧

So glad this was useful!! It's a great ink, and I hope Yoseka will restock soon. Meanwhile, have you tried Diamine Holly? It's less successful for me, but there are people who love it. It is a sheening ink which is a darker green. https://mountainofink.com/blog/diamine-holly

I am not a fan of sheen in general (unless it's a tiny bit of sheen, then yes) but it might work for you as a stopgap measure.

How do you like MB Irish Green? I keep hearing good things about this one, but how is it in terms of wetness/lubrication?

That does look like a nice green.  What's the dry time like, and is it remotely water resistant?

And thanks for the review.  I wasn't familiar with this brand.

I've had Holly on my list of inks to try on amazon for a while, never got around to it because I found "Montblanc - Irish Green" and fell in love...lol.
It's not a very lubricated or wet ink, it's pretty dry compared to the iroshizuku or KWZ inks. With Iroshizuku being middle of the road wet and KWZ being firehose wetness levels.
When I add a drop of black "Perle Noir" ink to my pen reservoir of "MB-IG",  it lubes it up enough to make it not railroad in my flex pen and also darkens the ink to give it a sexy mystique that comes through in the shading when I flex.
Love it love it love it love it.
But...the Yoseka seems to have all of that already and without the extra effort.
It could be my new love.
Possibly maybe... 😄

Ruth, I just tried this, not sure if I did this correctly, but ink was dry at 25 seconds on Midori MD. It seems to dry faster in my regular notebook, which is a Binderwerk. The ink is not water-resistant at all.

Yoseka Origin #1 is the first ink produced for Yoseka, the store - but Ink Institute has other interesting offerings, such as the Cat Daily series of inks.

I don't have any of them personally, but I'm considering Cat at Midnight. :) https://yosekastationery.com/products/ink-institute-cat-daily-ink-cat-at-midnight

Ink Institute inks are made in Taiwan.

I saw some of the "Cat" ones on the Vanness website, and wondered what they were like.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
