Krishna Inks: Azaelia Flora

Azaelia Flora is a deep magenta/rose colour, which is deeply saturated with a little shading. This ink doesn't sheen or shimmer.

I have used my TWSBI Eco Broad on the Endless Recorder Journal which uses 68gsm Tomoe River Paper.

This ink was fairly well behaved, but showed ghosting and a little bleeding where the ink pooled up. Dry times were pretty good and it isn't waterproof.

My personal opinion: I really like the colour and I've been using it for my notes and its bright while still being easy on the eyes.

Thanks for the review.

This seems quite close to Noodler's Ottoman Rose.

Nice one :)

The ink seems to be well named -- I was in my yard yesterday afternoon and the azalea planted by some former owner is in bloom -- and on my screen the ink seems to be about the same color as the flowers on my azalea bush.

Thanks for the review.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

I'm originally from the South and I concur with Ruth.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

I liked this ink but the Krishna inks (I've been told) don't contain biocides so I worry about keeping them around my other inks.  Thank you for sharing!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Oh, I haven't heard this before! All I have are Krishna inks so this is making me worried.

The most important thing is to keep them away from plants.  Flowers are great for getting mold in ink.

I'm curious about this, do you have a link or any other evidence? I have a fair number of Krishna inks and have never had any problems with them.

Like you, I've never had a problem with them, but I also didn't keep them with my other inks or near the flower that caused my problems before.  I was warned by the person who gave them to me, but I don't have any direct evidence, hence why I warned that "I was told" as opposed to saying that I knew.

Oh dear. I'd better give them their own box and send them to live in a little inky leper colony all on their own. There are plenty of them, so they won't be lonely, but they will probably miss some of the other pretty colours...

Azalea flower colors range across the whole spectrum. (I am originally from Atlanta and, when the azaleas, rhododendrons, and dogwoods are blooming, it can be glorious.)

OOOOOOO

Now we need to take pictures of the ink with the flowers.  :)

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
