I love their notebooks! Good paper, thick and low show-through (my main problem with tomoe river), lay flat. I bought a bunch just not knowing what the new models will be like.

Good fountain pen paper. Love the clipped corners. I wonder if the paper in the notebooks on sale have that unpleasant purple tinge that some of their batches seem to be plagued with.

Hi there — new to these forums,

 

I had been curious about F-C's notebooks and saw this posting (thanks for the heads-up!), so I ordered an A4 ferma-flex journal. It arrived today. The paper does indeed have a purple tinge; I haven't tried it yet so I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. The page marker left a bit of a rorschach impression on the pages in the middle.

I got used to the purple. It fits my needs so well I stopped noticing. The light source makes a difference.
