Ambitious Nib Group Buy -Round 3 -2021

Recommended Posts

The prices quoted here are factory prices. There's absolutely nothing I can  do about it.

I'm not here to profit from this.

I took the initiative to create this group buy so that members can benefit and  get to choose additional nib tip sizes, and stock up on spares as needed.

Thanks for setting this up. I'd like to purchase:

2 * 40mm * F

Tentatively:

10 * Ebonite 40mm feed

X * Plastic 40mm feed

How much are the plastic feeds?

I am not saying that you are charging more... what I meant that these  prices have increased a lot

Apologies @mehandiratta, I was speaking in general terms.

I'm still thankful they still manufacture large nibs.

I just wish they had bigger nibs to offer.

A size 9 or 10 and above would be a great addition. Would love to see that paired along with the ASA Porus, ASA Galactic, Ranga model 5,  Gama Supreme and Gama Jumbo.

Apologies for the long delay, I’ll try uploading the pics as soon as I receive them, hopefully within this coming week.

The current timeline is,

2) I’ll send the Payment info messages starting from 29th June onward.

3) The items will be shipped starting from July 2nd week (subject to stock availability for the varying nib types)

@Echowind - I had an enquiry. Those 40mm steel nibs....can we get them with accompanying ebonite feeds and sections too as mentioned above?

For the 40mm nib,

a) Housing unit will not be available.

b) Ebonite feed will be available (although in limited quantity).

c) Plastic feed will be available.

1. For the 40mm nib, does it not come in ? Only EF, F & B ?
2. I am a newbie here (came to know about this groupbuy and signed up) but genuinely looking to buy. Do I post my requirement here in the comment or fill the details somewhere else (like a form etc...)

40mm 'M' nib is not included this group buy.

There's no form to be filled , you can post your requirements here or send a  p.m.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
