Eversharp pencil

Hi.

I'm new to this forum but hope someone can identify this Eversharp pencil,It doesn't appear to have a mechanism (perhaps lost)but is celebrating a half century (1912 -1962).Any answer is appreciated.Chris Hall

Vey interesting. The "Big E" monogram clip and the handwritten script logo is consistent with the engraved date from the early Parker-Eversharp era.  It looks like the barrel has a triangular cross-section, which was common for a number of plastic-bodied Eversharp pens and pencils at that time. However, the elaborate finish and cartouche makes it look like a presentation model that I haven't run across in catalogs or salesman sample lots from that period, but I'm no expert. I checked mechanisms from some other P-E pencils of that age but didn't find a match to your remnants. 

 

It would make sense that it dates early in the 60's, because as the decade moved on the price and quality of the items Parker branded as Eversharp unfortunately steadily declined.
