Liz, do you want to do a CRV? I'll send you two papers with Blue Velvet Cake writing and you write on the papers (with any ink), keep one page (scan it for FPN) and send the other set back?

BTW the Mango Mousse did not actually feather like that in real use, I had dipped a special fountain pen and had too much ink on the nib but none in the feed.  Sorry for the the bad impression. The ink is actually quite lovely.

Sweet Life Iced Cookie

 

BTW, I've created sheets on three types of paper, the old Tomoe River, the cheapest recycled index cards possible (that way you can see if it feathers) and really cool art cards (they were a gift and no longer available anyway). 

 

This one is TR Paper.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy.       I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off.
