Trying to find an A4 Rhodia Notebook Cover Leather or Canvas or ?

Not a lot of options out there.

I am looking for an A4 cover of any material (except paper) that will work with a staple-bound Rhodia A4 side-to-side opening (not the pad, there are lots for those) notebook.

I actually want it for a Fabriano Eco Qua but it's the same size as the Rhodia and Rhodia is so much more well known.

Found a couple that might work but would love any pointers.

Thanks everyone.

Have you looked on Etsy?  It's become my go-to place to search for things like that.

Have you checked GalenLeather.com?  They have A4 size covers that work with side- as well as top-bound.

Try gfeller - I have two A4 leather covers and they are fantastic. If they don't show A4 on the website, email them.

https://gfeller.us

The covers I have (8 in total) are the best of any I have tried by far.

Yeah, it looks like Galen Leather have basically two A4 designs, in various colors.

ETA: Have you looked at ordinary portfolios for business types?  Those are usually designed to fit a legal pad and as such ought to fit a Rhodia, even with side-binding.  Just a thought.

will do, heard of gfeller but never tried them

They are my fave by a mile. Don't be put off by their website. They have recently updated but I don't think it is particularly good. If you cannot find exactly what you want email them and ask. I think they are more about the products rather than marketing.

Midori has three A4 versions of covers (leather, clear vinyl and Cordoba paper)

https://www.midori-japan.co.jp/md/en/products/mdnote-cover/

The first two options might work for you.

Another option is Allegory:

This leather cover is a bit heavy to carry around, but quite durable. It does have a side pocket, so it could work with a side-to-side notebook.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
