TWISBI Eco White and Rose Gold

Am I the only one who has gone gaa gaa over the Twisbi black and white with rose gold pens?  Mine should arrive this weekend and I am thrilled.  As a matter of fact I am shopping for a very pretty, way cool ink to write with it.  My staple is Heart of Darkness, but this lady is too feminine and pretty to be putting jet black ink inside (for now).  If I had the rose gold with black, that would be different (perhaps I should purchase one of those too).  Digressing . . .

I did a search and did not find anyone talking about it here.  Hopefully I overlooked it.  Anybody else fiending over this pen or am I alone?

Looks very good, I haven't seen that one. I agree on the ink, black would be plain wrong

Hello,

I ran into an older post here and an ink Diamine "Writer's Blood".  I adore it.  Take a look.  What do you think?  🙂  Still, I wouldn't mind a second or even third choice.  Was hoping to order and have them arrive same time.  it is already almost 5 p.m. so that's not gonna happen.

What about the TWSBI Golden Horse Awards limited edition pen? Personally I'm not into TWSBI the brand at all, as in never having tried one of its pens and not intrigued enough to buy one (notwithstanding having just bought another twenty or so pens in the past few weeks); but a friend who is into TWSBI mentioned her hunt for it, so I went and had a look on the Web for her.

Writer's blood is a nice ink. I've just inked up a couple of pens with it to play around a bit and I like it (and yes, I thought the bit I spilled on my thumb really was blood).

I wouldn't be surprised if it stained a white pen though, if you weren't very careful.

I was just thinking the very same thing. Great color but other people have said that Diamine inks stain the clear plastic internally between the top of the piston and the section and also any white plastic. One man had a thumbprint of ink on his pen that he could not remove.

I would stay safe and buy a washable ink.

Also, try and avoid taking the pen apart,

Personalisation at its best! ;)

Uwww, never heard of it.  I will look it up.  Confess . . . . if over $50 I probably will not purchase it.  I seem to be a connoisseur of inexpensive fountain pens.

P.S.  Found it.  Hmm, does not look much different than mine (IMHO).  At $109 will never come home to this Mamma.  Beautiful though ;-)!

I am hard-headed enough to try it anyway.  After all, it's just a FP.  Guess that is another reason why I purchase inexpensive pens.  I do not obsess over mine.  I relax and simply enjoy writing with my babies; ahhhh.

Good advice.  This should be easy for me . . . I'm a scaredy cat when it comes to "messin'" 'round with my pens.  As in, I don't.

Lo and behold I was notified that my TWISBI Rose Gold is arriving early.  As in TODAY! 🤩  Definitely no ink for her.  Guess I'll just have to feel her up until some arrives.

Well, my, my she has arrived.  I tell you this FP is so beautiful she needs a name. 🥰

Truphae @eBay offers excellent service.  She has a myriad of pens.  If you're ever in the market check her shop out.

Now, to wait patiently on my Noodler's Writer's Blood to arrive.  Apparently it is going to be March 30 before it arrives.  Oy vey, an eternity.

Lovely pen. If I didn’t already have a white Eco, I’d have been tempted to get the rose gold version.

What will you name it?

Uww, and here she is all inked up with Writer's Blood ink 😁.  Hmm, let's call her "álainn"!

Hi, what size nib is yours? Did you like your choice of ink?

I would like to respectfully disagree. My Emerald Green Diamond 580 AL arrived terribly overtightened on both ends (nib and piston knob) and my gut instinct tells me that if it had been left unattended it would have cracked. Obviously don’t disassemble your pens every other week, but a fit check before you ink it would be beneficial.

If your car has them, make sure to change your timing belts every 80-100,000 miles. (Or shorter if specified in the manual)

TWSBI Golden Horse Awards limited edition pen?

One of these showed up on ebay this week with all original accessories, in case your friend is still looking. They don’t come around often.

One of these appeared on ebay this past week, in case your friend is still interested.

Thank you so very much! I don't think she'll be keen on the asking price, but I'll let her know anyhow.
