Parker 51 Flighter leaking

Hi everyone! I have a Parker 51 flighter (aerometric) that I've used for several years. Unfortunately, I dropped it from a second story and onto a marble floor. It landed nib side up. However, since then, it leaks horribly around the nib. Even if i put it nib-side-up in my pocket, i take the cap off and there's ink everywhere. Any idea what may have been damaged in the fall?  Would this likely be an easy fix?

Try to shake your pen, if it makes a noise, possibly the breathing tube has come off, it would cause these floods that you reported. It is not difficult to repair, but you will probably need a new bag. If not, just a very detailed assessment of the parts to see what may have moved or damaged.

He is a slacker. I’ll fix it for him. I’m willing to bet he didn’t even know that was there...

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning.
