quapurna
[sorry, I have read another post] Hello forum members I have a safari (violet) with medium nib that I can not use due to its grip shape and the way I hold my fp. I also bought a black broad nib with that Safari. I now want to buy AION olive (only F nib is available at the store). Will I be able to attach those "ordinary" M and B nibs to AION fp ? Thanks
Tas
Mine swapped right over. Yours should too. Good luck.
Sh.Andrews
Yes, technically it will fit but I have found that the ink does not flow the same. I took two nibs that I had adjusted for wet flow, one from an LX (not original) and one from a Studio and they wrote VERY dry on the Aion. Swapped them back and forth several times and finally decided that there must be something different in the cross section (shape). However, I never tried the Aion nib on one of the others. My guess is it would be extremely wet.
quapurna
Thanks for the replies Tas and Sh.Andrews. I cancelled the AION and ordered Logo Brown or Accent greywood, but the seller said I must wait since those items are not available at the center office. It is an offline store in my town. I am not familiar with some lamy online stores in my country. Thanks.

Not so in my experience. I've used the Z53 nib, that was designed specifically for the Aion, on my Lamy cp1 for the testing (shown below) and on the Lamy Accent (with which the Z53 nib is paired full time). I don't like ‘wet’ nibs if it compromises the line width, and I don't think Lamy's EF nibs are known to be especially narrow and precise as far as ‘Western’ EF nibs go, but I really like the Z53 on the Accent for both the look and actual writing performance. So much so, I actually have a second Z53 nib on order right now, awaiting dispatch from a couple of weeks ago (as the order is being held up by some other backordered item). I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct for valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.
