Delta Dolcevita - Spare parts

Good day everyone.

I have lost the little ball at the end of my Dolcevita cap clip.

If I'm not mistaken Delta is now Leonardo pens. This company only has Facebook presence, from what I gather, but no direct contact with the company can be established. I could not find the actual company listed on the internet anywhere, all I get is links to shops that sell their pens.

I'm trying to find this little, badly designed, ball to replace the one I lost.

I've written to a few UK dealers but none stock the missing part nor told me how to get one.

Other ideas ? I could use a piece of those vintage toilet flushers pull chains and see if it works ?

Cheers

email address bounced back with 'Address not found'.

I'm Italian and am allowed to be scornful towards Leonardo. 🙂

I believe you can ask your question on their Facebook group. I've seen many people do that and get answer from Leonardo. But I'm not so sure if they have spare parts for Delta pens...

Akreadyy did it on FB. I did it in Italian though. It might have been buried amongst all the silly posts in English

Marco, try this: sales@leonardopen.com

But I don't think they can help you.
I already had asked a few times in the latest years about my customers that were looking for repair and/or spare parts of Delta pens; and the last time they told me they hadn't any Delta spare parts and not to refer other people to them for this matter.  😶

Hi Susanna, thank you for your suggestion. I understood that Delta became, one way or another, Leonardo. Business dynamics aside, Leonardo uses these little balls at the end of their clips so instead of saying I have a Delta I could say I have a Leonardo and I have lost it 🙂

It is like banging against a rubber wall. None of these manufacturers offer spare parts, I guess.

I'll give a go at the email address you posted. Plus I live in UK so I belieeve this task is near to impossible 😞

Love your website by the way

Well, it's not really so.

The son and the daughter of one of the former owners of Delta (Mr. Matrone) founded a new company, Leonardo. Nothing else is sure. Delta bankrupted badly, and no one wants to talk about it.
I interviewed the Leonardo owners for my blog, here : http://blog.giardino.it/2018/09/leonardo-officina-italiana-interview-with-the-founders/ (and there is also the Italian version link, at top).

Thank you for your nice words about my site! ☺️

Difficult question, because I haven't any Dolcevita Medium in stock any longer...

I remember it was quite large: but in diameter, not in length.
It's probably similar to a MomentoZero, but I think a MomentoZero is longer.

Hello again, as soon as I get the MomentoZero delivered I will be able to find out :-)

I believe the ball is the same. Indeed the Dolcevita is large !

No reply from Leonardo though, yet

Hi Dione, I wrote Izods on the 22nd of January, never got a reply. This speaks loudly on how they operate. Online business is a ripoff often, IMO. Give me an old style shop 1000000 times !!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
