SamChevre
I'm fairly new to fountain pens: this is my first pen with a clear sac. I have a black M2; I replaced the old, cracked sac that it had when I bought it with a clear PVC sac. When I squeeze the filler bar the first time, it bubbles. The second and third times, it does not--it appears to be pushing ink in and out, rather than air out and ink in. I can see the ink in the sac if I take then pen out of the ink and turn it upside down for a few minutes, but not otherwise. Is this normal? Or should the sac be visibly full of ink after 3 squeeze and release cycles?
corgicoupe
Sounds like it might be filling with the first squeeze? But surely by the third. Baptiste knew how to make a short job longFor love of it. And yet not waste time either. Robert Frost

What's confusing me is that there is no visible ink at all unless I turn the pen upside down, and let it run down to the top of the sac.
corgicoupe
Strange. Perhaps you should try allowing more time for the sac to fill. Baptiste knew how to make a short job longFor love of it. And yet not waste time either. Robert Frost
gweimer1
Yeah, give it about 10 seconds. I have used silicone sacs on the M2, and you should be seeing more ink when you fill it.
