Hello,

 

I have a red Cross Solo pen from a few years back. I am unsure if it was rollerball or ballpoint. I am seeking advice as to what the correct product from Cross serves as the proper refill. The Cross Solo has a cap and is not a twist to write. Is is part of that 2000s line of bright plastic. Any advice would be appreciated.

Good you found something that worked.  I've got a red Solo, but it's a fountain pen, bought off the estate of a good friend who did calligraphy and illumination, and I had some lovely conversations with her about pens.

Thanks for the comment. I also have a fountain as well, however its in a storage unit and with COVID I wont be getting access to it for a long time. I was pleased to get this Roller ball going though. I do miss it. Glad you know someone who shares an interest.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
