Best kit pen models?

My dad got a lathe for Christmas and he immediately started turning pens for me and my mom. 

 

What are your recommendations for good sources for the pen mechanics? He's less familiar with the writing aspect than the woodworking and wants to make sure he gets good parts.

I buy inks from this firm.  They sell pen blanks, kits and kitless blanks (nibs, sections, etc.).
