There are 13 items listed below, I will be giving each one to the first person who requests it. Please note the following:

RULES. 1) Limit two items per person, please. 2) Continental US only please, due to postage costs. 3) If you want an item please message me here on FPN and be sure to include your mailing address. 4) First come first served, within the bounds of the other rules. I will post in this thread from time to time to update on which pens are still available. 5) Pens will be posted First Class, cushioned in plastic tubes which will be inside padded envelopes.

Here are the items:

  1. RESERVED. Platinum pocket pen PKB 2000 or similar. Someone has replaced the nib with a Sailor nib, which almost fits but doesn't properly so it doesn't write. Includes 1 cartridge. Good for parts or repair.

  1. RESERVED. Carter's ebonite ring top, original color probably dark blue. Cap badly discolored, chip in cap lip, crack all the way around cap near top, seems stable, doesn't move. Nice flexy nib, lever filler holds ink, pen writes.

  1. RESERVED. 3 brush pens (as one item), never used, brushes still white. About the size and appearance of Lamy Vista – i.e. clear plastic bodies and caps. Piston fillers. Don't remember brand, possibly from China.

  1. RESERVED. Wearever pen, Parker 51 knockoff: hooded nib, gray plastic body, brushed metal cap. Writes nicely. Includes one cartridge, not standard size, may just have to keep re-filling cartridge.

  1. Pilot Crystal(?), translucent blue, Fine steel nib, includes one cartridge. Writes.

  1. RESERVED. Unmarked small pen, probably celluloid, green cap, cream barrel. Broad steel nib says “Welsh Mfg. Co. Stainless Providence R.I.” Sac holds ink, should write.

  1. RESERVED. Pilot 2A, steel nib says made in Korea. Blue plastic body, semi-inlaid nib, brushed gold-colored cap. Squeeze/aerometric style filler. Writes.

  1. “University” pen, very fine brown/black stripes, lever filler, sac holds ink, should write. “Cecil Miller” engraved on pen. Bottom of barrel is open – some piece missing, but pen works. Has TWSBI 1.1 stub nib in it.

  1. Pilot 2A, steel nib says made in Korea. Green plastic body, semi-inlaid nib, brushed gold-colored cap. Squeeze/aerometric style filler. Writes.

  1. RESERVED. Piper Empire, rather grand looking with brown marble barrel and cap lip, mostly black cap with flared finial. Vertical crack in cap lip appears to be stabilized. Generic steel nib. Fits standard int'l cartridges, possibly also converters. Includes one cartridge. Writes.

  1. RESERVED. “Online” brand, unusual design, chrome-plated barrel and section pulls out of long, black rubbery-coated cap, you turn it around and slide it back into cap, which then becomes body of pen. Medium steel nib, also branded “Online.” Takes standard int'l cartridges and possibly converter. Includes one cartridge. Writes.

  1. RESERVED. “Online” brand, same design as #12 except that long cap is red metal instead of black rubbery material. Everything else is the same. Includes one cartridge. Writes.

  1. RESERVED. Mentmore Diploma, dark blue plastic, lever filler, writes well. Perspex jewel on barrel has crystallized.

There you have it. I hope these pens will soon find good new homes.

If the brush pens are still available, I would like to try them, as they are a special interest of mine.

Thanks for this very generous offer!

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

10 items left, so far I have been able to edit the original post, so see that for the current list.

I have decided to change the rules to allow up to 2 pens per person. I have updated the original post accordingly. Thanks.

Is 4, 10, and 13 still available? I'm not working due to knee surgery so I have no way to save up for a pen or ink, and I lost my pen collection due to a break in last year.

I am the tarot reading, bookworm, whiskey drinking, witchcraft practicing, old fashioned writing, aunt Beasty in my family and I love it. Tarot readings for sale or trade, especially ink as I've lost all of my pen stuff from a bad burglary last year. And I need penpals! Anyone interested, please PM me!

Yes, they are available, but at present I am limiting folks to two, so please pick two of those, and send me a message with your mailing information.

OK, some complications.

I haven't heard back from JayHomeBody yet, but technically he kind of has dibs on #13. If I don't hear from him tomorrow, I'm going to say that InsaneRN has 12 and 13, and Talisheek has 7, and JayHomeBody would end up with 4 and 10.

I have marked all 5 of those pens as reserved. We'll work out the details soon. By the way, if we end up with 2 people who really want #7, pen #9 is identical except for the color of the barrel.

Hello. What a generous offer. Perhaps I misunderstood, but I sent a message to you directly. I am new to FPN and fountain pens in general,  and would love any working pen really, but especially something other than a fine nib. A flex nib would be amazing, but I’d also like a medium nib.

Thank you!

And thanks to everyone here at FPN for making me feel welcome!

Perhaps I need to be more specific. 🙂 I would be very happy to have #11, or #9 if either are still available.

Thanks!

If #6 is still available I would gladly accept it.

Sorry, that pen was just reserved by someone else. I'll let you know if that falls through.

OK, these pens are now settled for JayHomeBody and Talisheek. I am waiting to hear from InsaneRN if (s)he has a US mail address.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
