Parker 51 free giveaway

I seriously considered asking to be included, but I've decided it's best I decline.  The only way this would be a daily driver is if it took the place of my Hero 616 Giant.  And that would mean it would spend time clipped to the outside of my scrub pocket, pulled out of its cap for jotting and returned to the cap when jots are done.  And frankly, that's too rough for so nice a pen.

Thanks a ton for doing this. I am looking at ton of FPs and vintage ones intrigue me but the risk factor gets me.

I've heard so much about Parker 51s but have never had/handled one. Please add my name to the list. Thank you for your kindness and generosity!

Changed my mind, mine is a vacumatic, don't have an aerometric, so put my name in, if I win I will continue the pif with another.  Thanks.

I've never owned a Parker 51.  And I would love the opportunity to do so.  Thanks!  Merry Holidays, all!

Never had a 51. Would love to give it a new home.  As with all pens, I do not sell my pens. Only give them away. If it doesn't fit worth me,  it will reappear here.

Peace and Understanding

First off, thank you for doing this. I have a 51 Demi (though it's a vac) and I will let someone who doesn't yet have a 51 have this beautiful pen.

Congratulations in advance to whoever the winner is.

@ werter1245 -- Years ago (I was still in college, I think -- or maybe even high school) a local record store by my parents' house had a sweepstakes.  Grand prize was a new stereo.  I didn't win that, but I did get one of the runner-up prizes: a pair of tickets to see the NY Cosmos pro soccer team at the NJ Meadowlands, a soccer ball autographed by the team, and ten free record albums from Warner/Electra/Atlantic (they sent me a catalogue and I could pick whatever I wanted, so I got a lot of albums from their back-list B) -- things I really wanted, but not necessarily current Top-10 ones).  My brother and I went to the soccer game and we had seats very close to the visiting team's goal, and we got to see Pele's 299th and 300th career goals practically in front of us (he was playing for the Cosmos at the time).

Got rid of the soccer ball long since, but I still have the albums, although at the moment my husband's stereo isn't hooked up.

This is gorgeous, and I've always wanted a Demi cuz I have small hands. I currently only have a varsity, since my break in last year. Please throw my name into the hat? 💙

I am the tarot reading, bookworm, whiskey drinking, witchcraft practicing, old fashioned writing, aunt Beasty in my family and I love it. Tarot readings for sale or trade, especially ink as I've lost all of my pen stuff from a bad burglary last year. And I need penpals! Anyone interested, please PM me!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
