Being produced in just four hundred individually numbered pieces worldwide, the Sailor King of Pen Kouen Red Flame Naginata Togi Limited Edition combines a laminated hand-turned ebonite body with your choice of tipping size from among Sailor's famed 21k solid gold Naginata Togi specialty nibs, which are only rarely made available. Arriving in January 2021, we have a very limited number of these pens now available for pre-order - we strongly suggest ordering soon to secure the tipping size of your choice. The price for this Sailor Bespoke Collection pen is $1900.00.
The-Thinker
i wish they bring in more exotic nibs to the scene for the KOP model like the cross or the king cobra or king eagle, not sure if they will hear their fans and do it !
TitoThePencilPimp
I wonder how laminated and ebonite would work/feel. Does anyone know any other pen with such a combination?

Does anyone know any other pen with such a combination? Last year's Blue Wave had the same thing going on. It feels how it sounds: laminated. Kind of feels inbetween a typical resin pen and urushi. Does not feel like ebonite imo. You definitely still smell the ebonite though not very strongly.
Classic Fountain Pens
Thanks to everybody for all the interest in this pen! Just a heads-up that after less than a week, our allocation is going very quickly - Broad is already sold out, and only very small quantities left in Medium and in Medium Fine... Vpen
Any idea why is it laminated? To increase the durability?

Its a bit out of my price range at the moment, but it would be worth to add to a collection, just for the uniqueness aspect of the materials. Do you own the Blue Wave, or have used it in person? What are your thoughts?

What are your thoughts? Yea, I own one. Great pen, awesome nib. Probably my favorite nib I've used since I started this hobby - so about 5 years ago. The slight architect-esque grind alongside the feel of the tipping while writing makes for a pleasant writing experience.

whichwatch
I have a Blue Wave and the Broad nib writes EXTREMELY broad and wet. I assume this year's reds will be similar.
