i wish they bring in more exotic nibs to the scene for the KOP model like the cross or the king cobra or king eagle, not sure if they will hear their fans and do it !

Last year's Blue Wave had the same thing going on.

 

It feels how it sounds: laminated. Kind of feels inbetween a typical resin pen and urushi. Does not feel like ebonite imo. You definitely still smell the ebonite though not very strongly.

Ahh. A really unusual combination. Its a bit out of my price range at the moment, but it would be worth to add to a collection, just for the uniqueness aspect of the materials.  Do you own the Blue Wave, or have used it in person? What are your thoughts?

Yea, I own one. Great pen, awesome nib. Probably my favorite nib I've used since I started this hobby - so about 5 years ago. The slight architect-esque grind alongside the feel of the tipping while writing makes for a pleasant writing experience.

I have a Blue Wave and the Broad nib writes EXTREMELY broad and wet.  I assume this year's reds will be similar.

Yes I have the NM for Blue wave and I find it very broad and wet too..

Got the NMF. Hopefully this will be better...
