Which Krishna Ink Should I Pick?

I have bought several blue inks hoping that they were as bright as they seemed to appear. However, the results have so far been disappointing.

 

Krisha's inks seem to be reasonably priced with a lot of interesting colours. I want advice about Krishna's blue inks from the users.

 

If I had to pick 3 blue inks, which ones would you recommend? They should be as bright as posssible with relatively short drying times, decent lubrication and minimal feathering.

Not any Krishna blue (too "common" a colour in general) and Krishna's blues are all boringly pale except for Mellow Blue). Dozens of other companies offer hundreds of more interesting, bright/dark/saturated/characteristic blues. Get their ink Pencil (I think that was once called Haati, but I'm not sure). Has also been noted to be "elephant-grey". In any case similar to Diamine's Graphite due to its slight hue of green sometimes seen in pencil lead. Not an overwhelming colour but for sure a grey not seen everywhere else.

I have Diamine's Sapphire Blue. Its colour was a bit disappointing. Baystate Blue might fulfill my need for brightness but shipping costs several times the ink itself.

I have Krishna Moonview. It's a dark navy with a prominent red sheen, a wet ink that's slow to dry, but lots of fun.

Agreed. That was the ink I was going to suggest. But I would also add that “Causal” (not sure if they meant “Casual”) is a very appealing dark turquoise ink with sheen. Mellow Blue is a nice medium blue, but nothing exceptional.

 

HartGummi, if you ever want to branch out beyond blue, the Krishna inks have some wonderful oranges and reds. And their “Elegant Teal” is rich and sheeny. Lot’s of good options, if you can find them in stock outside of India.

Krishna's Sailor's Blue is a moderately vibrant turquoise-leaning blue with a touch of pink sheen. As mentioned, Moonview is a vibrant mid-blue with a lot of pink sheen, but its not quick drying. My sample of Moonview 2 is basically pink sheen with a bit of blue around the edges.

 

Diamine Blue Velvet is worth a look.

Stipula Light Blue is quite vibrant and the 70ml bottles for ~$15 is a bargain. The color is similar to Sheaffer Turquoise or Waterman Inspired but somewhat brighter. Great shading, as you can see, but no pink sheen, like those.

My personal favourite are sea at night, not a blue but I am a blue-black guy plus it sheens quite nicely.

 

Mellow blue as said above is very good color and I am using paakezah and its very nice blue too. Not the most value proposition this one though. Rest I have not tried so can't say honestly.

I looked at Krishna blues, and from the pictures I have seen. The inks are that impressive. However, I would consider this ink company for other colors besides blue.
